Born in the 419. Rooted in Tradition.

In 1971, a Lebanese wrestler named Tiger arrived in Toledo with a simple vision: to bring authentic, fresh Middle Eastern cuisine to Northwest Ohio. Opening in East Toledo as the region’s very first Lebanese bakery, Tiger Bakery quickly became a Glass City staple. When our family took ownership in the 1980s, we made a promise to honor that local legacy. Across three generations, we’ve grown Tiger Bakery into a true Toledo institution earning a spot as one of The Toledo Blade’s essential "52" places that define our city’s food culture. Today, we are best known for our authentic Mediterranean deli counter. From rich, scratch-made dips and hearty prepared entrees to golden, warm pastries pulled straight out of our ovens, everything is prepared fresh in our kitchen each morning. Beyond our deli counters and specialty market shelves, you’ll even find our signature dips and baked goods at ProMedica and Mercy Health hospitals, as well as local neighborhood markets like Churchill’s and Sautter’s. Whether you're stopping in for lunch, grabbing dinner to go, or ordering online for your family, we bring the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean straight from our kitchen to your table. - The Hammuda Family
